Biography

Davide attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, where he studied fine art and graphic design. He then moved to New York City to continue his education at The Graduate School of Figurative Art.

Davide has worked in the design and publishing field for nearly 20 years in various positions, from Assistant Art Director to his current role as Creative Director. For the past five years he has worked and lived in Asia, first in Tokyo and now Hong Kong. Before relocating to Asia, he was based in New York City.

His career began at Fairchild publications publishers of W, Jane, Details, WWD where he designed and launched a number of magazines. After nearly seven years with Fairchild, he moved on to launch Notorious Magazine, where he was Creative Director. Notorious was a national consumer magazine for men and women, later to become a multicultural magazine partnered with rap star Puff Daddy as he was then known.

After the successful launch of Notorious, Davide moved forward to launch the silicon alley magazine Alleycat News. He then moved to Asia and took on the responsibility of Creative Director at a custom publishing and design firm in Tokyo, Japan. There he designed and launched a number of custom magazines along with collateral and advertising. After two years in Tokyo, he moved to Hong Kong as Creative Director of Emphasis Media (Asia’s biggest producer of inflight magazines), heading a design and photo staff of 22 and producing 26 publications including award-winning titles Discovery (produced for Cathay Pacific), Sawadee (Thai Airways) and Prestige (Hang Seng Bank).

Davide is now the Creative Director of Edipresse Asia publishers of nearly 40 titles, including: Ten Regional Asia Tatler, Home Journal, Couture, Men Mode, Hong Kong business and many more. In 2007 Davide has designed and launched six new publications in Asia, with a number of new launches for the coming year in 2008.
